2nd Grade Career Day took place on Monday May 17, and it was a fantastic learning experience! I have only just begun collecting reflections from students and teachers, but initial feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We are especially grateful to our parent speakers for their time and effort- we really enjoyed having you as our guests! Our local Walton's Wings deserves a big thank you as well, for providing lunches for our dedicated team of firefighters who presented the entire day and ate lunch in the cafeteria surrounded by students! (That was especially meaningful because when one of our students last year reflected on the day, his suggestion for improvement was to have speakers join the students for lunch. I am thrilled that it happened!) I hope the pictures below will give you an idea of how exciting and educational the day was for our kids. Parents, I will be meeting with the 2nd graders to get their feedback on a reflection form, but if your child mentioned any highlights or suggestions to you, please do not hesitate to let me know via phone, email, comment to this post, or in person!
