West Alabama Dyslexia Initiative

Recently I was excited to learn that our community has a local resource dedicated to dyslexia! The West Alabama Dyslexia Initiative (WALDI) was formed by parents and educators. Its goals are to offer support to parents of children with dyslexia and to help educate the public about dyslexia. Their meetings are free to the public and all are welcome. You can find their page on Facebook if you search for the West Alabama Dyslexia Initiative. I am thrilled to learn about another local resource that can provide information and support to parents, educators, and the community on topics relevant to children's academic growth!
