Welcome to a new school year!

Hello! We are glad you're back for another great year at Taylorville Primary.

The school counseling program has two things going on in the first few weeks of school. First, I will make my way around to all the classrooms for a quick 15 minutes, to introduce myself to the kids (or make sure they remember me from previous years!) and tell them about my roles here at school. Look for three pages to come home to you after this visit: a white half-sheet, a blue pamphlet, and a blue full sheet. Due to my being involved in DIBELS testing in the mornings next week, it will take me until Tuesday, August 23 to visit each and every classroom. I look forward to seeing all your children's smiling faces again after the summer break!

Secondly, I will hold small group meetings for all the 1st and 2nd graders who are new to our school, so they can meet some other new students who they'll see during their PE or playground time. These will take place Monday - Thursday, August 15 - 18.

When I visit your child's class for the first time, one of the things that will be sent home is a blue full-page annoucement about this blog and email list. If you are already signed up for the email list, you do not have to return this form to me again with the same email addresses! I will keep you on my email list unless you ask to be taken off. Of course if you have new addresses to add or replace the old ones, go ahead and return the form.

If you would like to be taken off my email list and no longer receive these emails, just let me know anytime and I will be happy to remove you.
