As I mentioned last post, we are planning a “Career Day” for our 2nd graders on Friday, October 12, and the main attraction will be guest speakers from various careers who have volunteered to tell the students about their jobs. We are currently looking for these volunteers! Would YOU (or a friend or family member) be willing to come speak to 2nd graders about your profession? If so, please let me know, so I can send you home a bit more information.
Scheduling depends on how many speakers volunteer, but presentations will probably be 20 minutes long. So, a speaker might do the same presentation 4-5 times for different groups of children. However, if you have scheduling constraints that would require a different plan, I am more than happy to work around them.
