If you and your family or Sunday School class are looking for an activity in the next couple of weeks, you might consider making paper snowflakes to send to Newtown CT!
The teacher supply company Really Good Stuff (which is located next to Newtown in Monroe) is organizing a collection of paper snowflakes, with the intention of hanging them in the Sandy Hook students' new school building to create a "winter wonderland" when they return to school in January. They are asking that all snowflakes be mailed by January 12.
You can find the mailing address and additional information at this webpage: http://www.reallygoodstuff.com/category/pages/notice.do
Hope you have fun if you decide to get crafty over the winter break! :)
Additionally, I emailed some tragedy resources out to the parent list this past Monday. If you follow my blog but are not on the email list and would like a few handouts on helping kids through scary events, please just email me and I will be happy to forward you the attachments! I hope you and your family are feeling peaceful and safe. :)
Thank you for reading! We are glad you are here.
