Food Drive & Stocking Stuffer Drive

Just a reminder that we are collecting food for our Thanksgiving Food Drive through this Friday, November 6th. If you have any dry beans, rice, pasta, oatmeal, cereals, corn muffin or biscuit mixes, dry soup mixes, dry boxed mashed potatoes, etc. that you'd like to contribute, just send it in to your child's classroom. Thank you so much for any donations!

Also, to give you a heads up, our Stocking Stuffer Drive will start in the next few weeks. We'll collect small children's items, such as small books, small toys like race cars, small games or card games, play-doh, stickers, hair bows, small Lego sets, crayons, colored pencils, coloring books, drawing pads, etc. I wanted to give you advance notice in case you start seeing inexpensive items in stores and want to pick up one or two extra. (I know I have! They sure get the Christmas merchandise out quickly after Halloween, don't they?)

After these two activities end, it will be a month or two before our next service project, so don't worry if you're feeling serviced-out. One of the greatest benefits of our school being so big is that when some of us give just a little, we can make a huge difference in our community. Of course I know times are hard for many of us, and I certainly do not want these projects to feel like an obligation. I just organize them for those who would like to participate, and participation is always completely voluntary! Thank you for any contributions your family cares to make.
