2nd Grade Career Day

We've set the date for this year's 2nd Grade Career Day! It will be held Friday, October 15. (Previously this event took place in May, but due to teacher feedback we're holding it earlier this year.) The best part of the day is having TPS parents volunteer to speak to 2nd grade classrooms about their jobs... and that is where YOU come in! I will send home a form to all families in September officially asking for volunteers, but wanted to give you a heads-up now so you can start thinking about whether or not you'd like to be a speaker. If you have any questions or would like more information now, please do not hesitate to let me know. I'm really looking forward to the day- we always have a fascinating mix of speakers, and the kids love learning about careers from adults other than me and their teachers!

Also, if you are a parent of a 2nd grader, you might want to try to avoid dentist and doctor's appointments for your child on that day, so he or she won't miss the fun and festivities!
