McAlister's Benefits Our Kids

I just got word that tomorrow, Thursday October 7th, McAlister's Deli is doing a benefit for the "Secret Meals" program sponsored by Alabama Credit Union. Secret Meals is in place in all city and county schools. By partnering with the West Alabama Food Bank, Secret Meals is able to send home a baggie of a few simple, non-perishable meals every Friday with the students who need them. The baggie is meant to bridge the gap between school lunch on Friday and school breakfast on Monday for families who may not have enough to eat over the weekend.

McAlister's is donating a portion of every dollar spent there tomorrow night from 5pm-close to Secret Meals. If you'd like to eat out for a good cause, you can dine at their locations on 15th Street in Tuscaloosa, Tyler Street in Northport, or Promenade Pkwy in Bessemer. This is a really exciting community program, and it is  thoughtful of Alabama Credit Union, McAlister's, and West Alabama Food Bank to support our local students and families in this way.
