If you have a 2nd grader, we will finally finish up that big career unit this week and next! All classes will conclude our study of the six Holland career and personality types and finish watching the DVD clips of our community members who represent those types. Students will take a self-assessment to see which personality areas are their strongest and bring home a list of a few sample careers that fit those personality talents and preferences. The kids will also write questions that I will email to the community members in the DVD so we can get more firsthand information about their careers.
Look for your child to bring home his or her self-assessment and list of matching careers! I will see Myrick, Brown, Dean, Johnson, Singley, and Hamner this week- all other second grades are next week. If you have any questions or comments, please let me know!
